In this lesson I will be running through on the following words that are commonly mixed up with in our every day lives, 'There', 'Their' and 'They're'.
There - this word is to indicate a position. For example, 'Hey look, it's over there
!', an easy way to remember that it's a location / position would be to remember that this word has the word here
in it which is related to location / position.
Their - this word is to indicate a possession. For example, 'It's their
They're - this word is the contraction of the words 'they' and 'are'. It is normally used to talk about another person. For example, 'I think they're
not happy that Base is giving them lessons on grammar.' If we were to use the longer form, it would be, 'I think they are
Some common mistakes are:
=> People mixing up the words and using them improperly. For example, 'It's there
fault for not trying!'
=> Not knowing the differences between them
